Candy Cat Desserts

I absolutely adore Caroline and Laura’s Tea Break Blog, a mother daughter duo who create these delightful candied cat desserts! I one day hope to create something as adorable as these, I’m sure Hammy would give a purr of approval.

Newquay Review

Looking to go to Newquay for the first time? Here are a few places we recommend!

Fistral Beach (The Stables) - Great for the waves, a beach side walk and for great pie and ale selection.

Tolcarne Beach (The Breaks Beach Bar and Kitchen) - Another great view and excellent menu. We recommend you try the steak.

Home is where the heart is

In the past I have been notoriously known for my love of travel and I am especially thankful for being able to have seen the various parts of the world that I have, however it wasn’t until this year that I started to learn the importance of loving where you live.
My heart is most at home by the coast and although I have been lucky enough to see the turquoise waves of Mexico and Cyprus in more recent years, I really do truly believe that there is no more beautiful sight than the Cornish Coast.
Myself and the bus man treated ourselves to a lovely weekend away to Newquay a couple of months back, it was beautiful. We stayed at a lovely b+b in the center of the town just overlooking the main beach and our host was lovely. Kate made us feel very much at home and even recommended a few places to eat, we shall definitely be revisiting.
Newquay review to follow!

Reading Festival 2015

If there is one thing you will learn about me while following my blog, it is that I am a major festival lover. I have attended one each year since my very first in 2012 and will continue to do so well into my older years I hope.
If you haven’t yet had the chance to attend one, I would strongly recommend it. If you like to attend gigs, are continuously plugged into your music player and enjoy the outdoors then it’s just simple, get booking your tickets!
Bands to see off the back of reading festival lineup - Bring Me The Horizon, The Marmozets, Alexisonfire, Area52, Modestep and Pvris just to name a few.
Now in terms of recommending festivals to you, I am completely biased. I am a reading festival chick through and through. I’ve been with all of my close friends, I’ve camped, I’ve gone by train, by coach, by car and it’s also the reason behind me and my other half first getting introduced. Needless to say, it’s got a special place in my heart.
Here’s just a few highlights…

Begin Again

Here we are again, a new life, a new love, a new home. It has been 3 years or so since I last blogged. But time is a healer and although those missed years have been full of heartache, family turmoil and at times a great amount of uncertainty, I now feel that I am finally on the other side and 'beginning again'.

I am a new me, or perhaps the original me that I once lost, living my life out in my first home with my lovely little family. Welcome to my next chapter <3
